In which I try to finish the leftover mayonnaise and learn to poach an egg.

Don’t let the poached eggs on this blog fool you – I’ve never poached in my life. But faced with a bowl full of homemade mayonnaise, courtesy of Sammy B for our Quatorze de July steakathon (I wish there was a link to Knife ’n’ Spork for this, but I completely flaked on the photographs; instead, content yourselves with this!), I thought I should give it a shot:



Poaching.


Toasting.



And mayonnaise. Garlicky, mustardy mayonnaise. Kind of weird, kind of intense for breakfast, but whatever. Put an egg on it!
